Admittedly, I’m a sucker for a good infographic. I suppose it’s because I’m a huge nerd, love learning and appreciate few things more than good design. (Yep, a good infographic covers all three bases.)

Combine this with the fact that I sometimes get to play in the Relevant Classroom product warehouse, print shipping labels and chat with the man in brown as he hauls off the packages and it will make perfect sense as to why I was attracted to the UPS sponsored logistics infographic featured on the Good.is website.

Check it out! You’re sure to find at least 3 facts to impress your friends with. By all means share this with students. Here are a few ideas:

  • Pass out one per student or small group as students enter the room for a bell ringer. Post 3 or so questions for them to be ready to share their thoughts on. Adjust the questions to your topic area.
  • Play a game of how many careers are represented on the graphic (don’t forget those who manufacture the conveyor belts, cut trees for cardboard, etc.)
  • If you’re a math teacher—you can have all kinds of fun with the numbers here!
