I just recently subscribed to two professional development magazines or periodicals if you wish – Education Week  and ASCD (Formerly the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development). Over the past few weeks I have come across so many news articles, in my email in-box and my mailbox, that it has been one of those “I had no idea how much I didn’t know” kind of experiences.

The lesson I learned, is that regardless of where I am in my career, I can still learn so much from the hard work of others. So here’s your semester wind-down challenge: find a magazine, periodical, or e-update to subscribe to. Don’t bind yourself to reading the whole thing, but give yourself the gift of 5 minutes a week to beef up your personal growth!
